Company Profile
Professional Bat Management Solutions, based in Medina, Ohio, is a professional wildlife control company that only deals with bat conflict issues with services available throughout the United States. With over 10 years of experience as bat removal specialists, we are able to quickly evaluate the situation and take steps for immediate intervention.
We support, endorse and train our employees and sub-contractors on non-lethal bat exclusion techniques and conservation. Proper bat removal and exclusion services should not involve capture or handling of the bats in most cases. Rather, the true problem needing addressed is the structure and entrance areas the bats are using. When looking for bat removal services, remember that the bats are only a symptom of the problem.
Professional Bat Management Solutions believes that the only time a bat should be handled is during research projects, population surveys, or when a bat needs captured to be submitted for rabies testing. While we recognize that sick or injured bats can at times be rehabilitated, the threat of spreading White Nose Syndrome (WNS) mandates that only licensed bat rehabilitators following their State laws be allowed to perform these actions.
Although we support the missions of Bat Conservation International (BCI) and State agencies, we do not agree 100% of the time with their laws, philosophy or recommendations regarding bat removal work, timeframes, or materials. Each situation is unique with its own set of issues and should not be regulated based on scientific facts taken out of context.
Professional Bat Management Solutions only uses sub-contractors that have successfully attended our Bat Management Workshop. This unique five day hands-on training program is recognized by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, several professional wildlife and pest control organizations, and is the only hands-on bat proofing training program currently offered to Bat Management Professionals.
This is a very big difference from other companies that claim competence by filling out an application and submitting proof of insurance to have a listing on BCI's Excluder page or by watching a video or DVD. While we applaud BCI's efforts to ensure qualified individuals are promoting bat removal and exclusion services, only hands-on experience truly qualifies a company. Professional Bat Management Services offers bat removal / exclusion (aka bat proofing), inspections, conflict risk assessments, bat bug treatment plans, consultation, and attic / site cleanouts on a national basis.
